Questions we
answer first.
Straight answers on engagement and scope. If your question is missing, send it on the channel you prefer and an operator will reply.
Engagement.
What is privacy defense?
The active protection of people and organizations from those who would find, watch, or target them. Compliance protects data. Privacy defense protects the people behind it. The full doctrine lives on the privacy defense page.
Who do you take as clients?
Executives, founders, public figures, their families, and a narrow set of organizations that carry the same risk profile. We decline work we cannot run at our standard or that sits outside defensive work.
How do I reach you?
Use the request form or reach us on an encrypted channel. We read it within one business day when there is fit. The first conversation stays high level. You do not need to ship evidence in message one.
When does the NDA start?
From first contact. Every conversation is treated as confidential. Active work runs under a signed NDA and engagement letter. We do not publish client names or case studies.
How fast can you start?
Guardian coverage can open in days once terms are set. Project work, sweeps, and federal files depend on clearance and travel. We give you a firm date in the proposal, not a marketing window.
Do you work outside the United States?
Yes. Multi-country exposure is common for the clients we serve. Jurisdiction and travel are scoped up front so nobody improvises at the border.
What is the difference between Guardian and Organizations?
Guardian is the standing retainer for individuals and households, configured by tier. Organizations covers corporate, family office, counsel, and federal work scoped on a written brief. If you are protecting one name or household, start with Guardian. If you are buying for a firm or office, start with Organizations.
What is the Guardian program?
A standing retainer rather than a one-time cleanup. Watch, Ward, and Aegis are cumulative tiers for exposure removal, device hardening, intelligence, and response. Line items live on the services page.
Can one file cover a family or a team?
Yes. Named clients, spouses, children, or an executive team can sit under one scope. Scope follows headcount and depth, settled in writing before signature.
Privacy.
How do you treat confidentiality?
Confidential from the first byte. Client names and engagement details stay private. Formal NDAs execute before substantive work, not after something sensitive has already been said.
Will you reference us to win the next client?
No. Not by name and not by story. Referrals come from clients who choose to speak for us. We do not trade on yours.
What happens to data when work ends?
Default is deletion. If you need retention for counsel or insurance, that is written into the letter. Otherwise we keep nothing when the file closes.
Can we stay on Signal or PGP?
Yes. Say so in the first line of your message. We answer with credentials, not a link to a portal.
Terms.
Do you publish rates?
No. Services and rates are set to the client, whether that is one household or an executive team. The Guardian tiers describe scope, and project work follows the brief. Full terms arrive in writing before you commit to anything.
What moves the quote?
Headcount, geography, how hostile the exposure looks, briefing cadence, and whether institutional ECLIPSE runs as a field kit, an install, or sweep-only. We do not pad with tools you did not ask for.
Retainer only, or projects too?
Both. Audits, training, OSINT profiles, and one-time sweeps live under Organizations. Many clients start with a project, then move to Guardian once they see the footprint.
What do we actually receive?
Documents, not dashboards. An engagement letter and welcome packet up front, an exposure baseline, a written threat model, a hardening report for each device, and standing reports on your cadence. Sweep findings are documented at Aegis and on organizational scopes.
Do we have to learn new tools?
No. Darkveil is a service, carried end to end. Our operators run the monitoring, file the removals, provision and watch the devices, and conduct the sweeps. You get a person on an encrypted channel and reports written for you, and everything technical stays operated on our side.
Do you provide devices?
At Guardian Watch we harden the phones and laptops you already use. At Ward and above we supply new devices of your choice, preconfigured with privacy and security systems we monitor and maintain on the retainer. Aegis adds travel devices you choose for international trips. Models and quantities are scoped before work starts.
Is there a minimum term on Guardian?
Three months minimum. Brokers re-list and intelligence work needs time to show results. Shorter windows rarely match an honest engagement.
Scope.
What does a Guardian briefing cover?
Changes to your digital footprint, threats that matter to your profile, physical notes from the cycle, and standing adjustments. Watch is biannual, Ward quarterly, Aegis on call. Written for you and your counsel, not for slides.
What is ECLIPSE in one sentence?
Our counter-surveillance stack: RF, network, optical, and proximity sensing operated by our people on your site. For individual Guardian clients it is included with Aegis. Detail is on the ECLIPSE page.
What does ECLIPSE detect?
Clandestine transmitters, rogue wireless infrastructure, covert optics, and proximity trackers, reported with confidence stated. It is instrumentation paired with search, not a magic wand.
What are ECLIPSE detection limits?
Non-electronic bugs, encrypted payload content, powered-off devices with no signature, distant IMSI-catcher class gear, and endpoint malware. See limits on the ECLIPSE page.
Can I buy ECLIPSE without Guardian Aegis?
On an individual retainer, ECLIPSE is part of Aegis, not a standalone product. Organizational sweeps are scoped under Organizations.
What work do you decline?
Offensive operations, harassment, anything that uses our access to target a third party, and work we cannot staff with integrity. Federal and B2B files that fit defensive TSCM, insider threat, and assessment work are routed separately on Organizations.
