Careers

Hiring.

Darkveil stays small. We add people from three backgrounds and turn away the rest. There is no graduate track and no consulting bench.

01 / Hiring Who we bring in

Who we hire.

Former intelligence officers with time in collection, counter-intelligence, or technical operations. Former special operations and military personnel. Cybersecurity operators who have run offensive or defensive work, not only advised on it.

We read for operational history we can verify on a closed channel, and for discretion as habit.

Open roles are listed below. Referrals move first.

Positions we are filling now

Northern Virginia preferred, remote inside the United States considered. U.S. persons only. Clearance eligibility is a plus on every role. Referrals move first.

Privacy Defense Operator

Full time · Client-facing

Operators run files end to end: the baseline, the removals, device and account hardening, standing watch, and the encrypted channel the client actually talks to. One operator holds each engagement from the first call onward.

You bring OSINT tradecraft, hardening fluency across Apple, Android, and desktop platforms, writing a client can read without a glossary, and discretion as habit. Time in intelligence, protective work, or security operations is read closely.

Intelligence Analyst

Full time · Analysis

Analysts keep the threat picture current: exposure across brokers, search, social platforms, public records, and leak channels, turned into briefs an executive can act on and an operator can build against.

You bring disciplined OSINT methodology, source evaluation, link analysis, and concise analytic writing. Language skills and prior all-source or counterintelligence work are a plus. Portfolio pieces can be sanitized; tradecraft shows through anyway.

Solutions Architect

Full time · Engineering

Architects design the technical side of an engagement: device fleets, secure communications, residential and personal network architecture, and identity systems, then turn the builds into standards the practice can repeat.

You bring depth in systems and security engineering across Apple platforms, hardened Android, and network infrastructure, documentation people actually follow, and the composure to explain a build to the person who lives on it.

TSCM Field Operator

Pipeline · Field

Sweep work expands with the practice, and we keep a short bench of vetted field operators for ECLIPSE deployments. Prior TSCM or RF engineering background is required, and regional availability matters as much as the resume.

Process How we hire

Three gates

I  /  NDA first

Confidential both ways

The first substantive conversation happens under NDA. You learn how the practice actually runs, and what you tell us stays in the room.

II  /  Tradecraft exercise

A bounded, compensated brief

A small exercise close to the real work, paid, with a hard scope. We read the judgment and the writing, not just the result.

III  /  Verification

References and background

History verified on closed channels, proportional to the trust the role carries. Direct applicants only.

If your background fits, use the contact form. Mark the subject with the role name. The first reply comes from the practice.
